Togwotee Pass Snowmobile Tour

Togwotee Pass is world renown for being one of the epicenters of snowmobiling. It’s located 45 minutes north of Jackson and sits at an elevation of 9600 feet on the Continental Divide in the Absaroka Mountains. The Continental Divide is often referred to as North America’s backbone, as it cuts through Wyoming through the northeast corner of Yellowstone and exits in the south central border. This tour is great for off-trail riding in powder. Guests are encouraged to ride single on this trip.

Togwotee Pass sits between Breccia Peak and Two Ocean Mountain and receives over 500 inches of snow annually. Togwotee Pass Tour It has both on-trail and off-trail riding for those who are more experienced. There are over 600 miles of trails you can choose from that cater to all skill levels, from beginners to expert riders. All of the trails are clearly marked to ensure rider safety.

There are timbered valleys and many wide open meadows and bowls covered in deep powder snow to ride through making for an exhilarating snowmobile experience. Weather permitting, the views from Togwotee Pass are simply breathtaking. They look out into the Bridger-Teton National Forest and the Teton Range where you can see the Grand Teton in all her glory. You will also be able to see into the edge of Yellowstone National Park.

Equipment Provided: Boots, helmet, one-piece suit, gloves, balaclava
Equipment Needed: Layers, thermals, ski gloves, hat, sunglasses

Additional Information: Drivers must be at least 16 years old with a valid drivers license; 18 years old for powder machines

Optional damage waiver available for additional fee

Gratuity is NOT included; 15% will be added prior for private & group bookings

Does our group have to pay park entrance fees?

Yes, there is a $30 per person fee for Yellowstone and a $20 fee for Grand Teton Park. You can save some money by buying an annual pass for $80. The annual pass covers two snowmobiles or up to 4 people. Your guide will work with you to minimize the park entrance fees.

What is your Cancellation & Rebooking Policy?

  • Individual Tours must be cancelled with at least 48-hours prior to departure. You must call us 2 days prior to the departure time of your tour.
  • Group Tours must be cancelled with at least 72-hours prior to your departure. You must call us 3 days prior to the departure time of your tour.

Do you Require a Deposit?

Snowmobile tours must be 100% paid for in advance.

Are tips included?

Our professional guides word hard to keep you safe, comfortable and create a memorable experience for all of our guests.

  • Individual tips are up to the discretion of guests.
  • A 15% gratuity is automatically included for Private Tours and Group Tours with more than 8 guests.

Do you offer insurance in case a Snowmobile gets damaged?

Guests are responsible for 100% of any snowmobile damages incurred during their tour unless they pay for insurance. Insurance is sold in the form of a damage waiver. Please bring cash for one of two options:

  • $25 for a $750 deductible on a standard snowmobile.
  • $35 for a $1500 deductible on a powder snowmobile.

** Damage waivers are considered null and void if the guest is under the influence of alcohol, drugs or driving recklessly against the guides instructions.

Are reservations required?

Yes, due to limited access to national parks and forests, please schedule your trip as far in advance as possible.

How old do you need to be to drive?

Drivers must be at least 16 years old with a state-issued driver’s license.

Is there an age minimum for kids?

Yes, kids need to be at least 5 years old and accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. For Yellowstone Old Faithful snowmobile tours, children need to be 8 years old. (10 years old recommended) For Yellowstone Old Grand Canyon snowmobile tours, children need to be 10 years old. (12 years old recommended)

Can we hire an extra driver if we have extra child passengers?

Not during the 2020-2021 season. We expect this option to return during the 2021-2022 season.

Are tours ever cancelled?

We reserve the right to cancel tours in case of hazardous weather.

Do you still go out if there is a storm?

Expect winter weather. Tours will go out in the cold, rain and snow. If the weather is hazardous, we will reschedule your trip or offer you a credit.
